Avionics Test Station and Components Apprentice, Avionics Systems, All Helicopters and Aircraft (except F-15)

You will maintain aircraft electronic equipment used on the F-16, F-117A, A-10 and B-1B aircraft. This includes avionics systems to be bench checked; determine or isolate malfunctions; and repair, align or modify integrated avionics line-replaceable units (black boxes) off the F-16/A-10 aircraft or the test stations themselves. To provide testing of the line-replaceable units, you will operate and maintain a set of four computerized test stations. The test stations will provide the unit under test with a programmed series of inputs and will monitor or measure the output to determine whether the unit is functioning properly. Examples of units or aircraft systems you will be responsible for are digital computers, communication and navigation systems, flight control systems and flight data record systems. In addition to operating computerized test stations, you will become familiar with and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators and frequency counters. The workplace is an in-shop environment. PAY CHART
