Pest Management
As an environmental management apprentice, you conduct surveys for and identify insects, spiders, ticks, mites, rodents, reptiles, predatory animals, birds, bats and weeds. You will also select and apply integrated pest management techniques to control or manage pest populations. You will mix and apply the various pesticide formulations, using both hand- and power-operated dispersal equipment. You will also use a variety of frightening devices to repel birds from building, airfields and other areas. Importantly, you will use protective equipment and safe procedures to avoid harm to yourself and others, as well as to avoid damage to the environment. PAY CHART
