Students begin their photographic training by studying the theory of light and photographic exposure. They are then introduced to camera operations and black-and-white photographic chemicals, followed by black-and-white film processing. Black-and-white film and paper characteristics are taught along with processing and printing equipment. Students learn the principles of optics, camera lenses and the application of electronic flash and photographic filters using cameras and film sizes 4x5 inch, 120 and 35mm. The principles, characteristics and techniques of photographic reproduction (copy) are taught and performed. Portrait photography using studio lighting techniques and equipment are also accomplished. A variety of photographic assignments such as architectural, investigative, sports, action, awards and ceremonial and documentary photography are taught and performed. Students are also taught how to expose, process and print color photographic materials. PAY CHART
