Colorado State Benefits
Air National Guard members are paid equally based on their rank and years of service. You’re also eligible for additional compensation based on your position and where you’re stationed.

01 Education Benefits
The program pays up to 100% of tuition at 33 approved State schools (not to exceed $5,000 per semester or eight calendar years whichever comes first).

02 Medical Benefits
Colorado Air National Guard members will be eligible to purchase the TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS), a premium-based health plan available worldwide for qualified Selected Reserve members of the Ready Reserve and their families. Colorado Air National Guard members get full medical and dental coverage for any injury or illness incurred in the line of duty.

03 Military Burial Assistance
County allowance of up to $50 for burial and up to $50 for setting markers for pauper veterans.

04 Comprehensive Protection
A life insurance program considers the extra risks involved in military service in order to provide you and your family with added financial security at competitive rates. Different insurance programs have different eligibility requirements; however, coverage enrollment is automatic for certain types of insurance such as Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance [SGLI] and Veterans’ Group Life Insurance (VGLI). Speak to your recruiter to find out what programs you qualify for.

05 MISCELLANEOUS
VA home loan benefits help servicemembers and veterans purchase, retain or adapt a home. Air National Guard members may qualify for a VA-guaranteed home loan. Disabled veterans shall have 10 points added to their grades, and nondisabled veterans shall be credited with an additional 5 points; for city and county governments that have a Merit System in place. Additionally, any person who is an active or retired member of the Colorado National Guard may utilize the Air National Guard license plates.
