Air National Guard members are paid equally based on their rank and years of service. You’re also eligible for additional compensation based on your position and where you’re stationed.

01 Education Benefits
New Jersey Air National Guard members pursuing a degree at a state college or university are eligible for a 100 percent tuition waiver, up to 16 credit hours per semester including master’s and professional degrees.

02 COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION
New Jersey offers its Air National Guard members serving on state-summoned active duty a comprehensive workers’ comp plan, and New Jersey Air National Guard members who are killed in action are eligible for burial in the state veterans cemetery.

04 MISCELLANEOUS
State employees serving in the New Jersey Air National Guard are authorized up to 90 days of military leave per year. Air National Guard members can also get free hunting and fishing licenses as well as free admission to state parks.
